Hi Asbed,
Nice composition with negative space in the direction of the owl's look, perfect shutter speed as well to freeze the action. Mr. Gray Owl himself is like a piece of wood, excellent camouflage - and in spite of the lack of colors, the photo's spectacular. Probably I might try the same scene with wider DoF, 3.2 or even with 2.8, to mish-mash the background more. Just a personal idea, obviously.

Your Great Gray Owl has been captured in such an attractive pose, like a conductor readying his orchestra. I love it's gorgeous camouflaged plumage and those lovely yellow eyes. Focus is razor sharp showing exceptional detail. Exposure is perfect and you obtained plenty of DOF. Great work!!
