[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Tiny Ladybirds or Lady Beetles are now visible in my school garden. This yellow one looks quite interesting with those black marks on it.

The Coccinellidae are a family of small beetles ranging from 0.8 to 18 mm (0.0315 to 0.708 inches). They are commonly yellow, orange, or red with small black spots on their wing covers, with black legs, heads and antennae. Such colour patterns vary greatly, however; for example, a minority of species, such as Vibidia duodecimguttata, a twelve-spotted species, have whitish spots on a brown background. Coccinellids are found worldwide, with over 6,000 species described.

Hello Ram,
A remarkable crystal clear shot of this fine looking specimen. I am always amazed at the variation in color and markings of these rather cute little beetles. It's funny but I had never heard the names (lady bird or lady beetle) until I joined this site, as we only had the dark red ones with black spots referred to as lady bugs.
A top quality image by all aspects. TFS.

Hello Ram,
a particularly nice specimen of a tiny lady beetle, probably Coccinella transversalis, you are presenting here in bright sunny colours, standing out very clearly and prominently from the leaf. A cheerfully sunny, freshly taken, well composed portrait of a little sunnyboy enjoying his life in spring.
Thank you! With best regards,
Peter
