A magnificent large flowered iris. Leaves and stems about the same height. Flowers single, pale, gently dotted in lower segments. The species is endemic to Israel, the Palestinian Territories and S Lebanon.

Hello Ori,
How neat to see these beautiful iris blooms growing in the wild like this. My mom used to grow the cultivated varieties around our home when I was just a young boy. She always called them flags and I loved to watch them bloom each year. Nicely composed and displaying top notch detail.
