night in delta
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Yesterday I presented the morning view on the Vistula's arm. Today the night approach :-)|
This arm is called the "Bold Vistula" - it was born in 1895 during a heavy winter, when the Vistula dammed with ice barrage, broke free and created a new mouth to the Gulf of Gdansk. Now the arm is dead but serves sailors and waterowl, it's part is well known in Europe as "Ptasi raj" (Bird's Paradise). The place is still quite peaceful but in the background you may see the light of a huge three-city aglomeration of Gdansk-Sopot-Gdynia.
The shutter speed was 64 seconds.
