A summer blooming bulb. Stem is smooth and tall. Flowering head is dense purple and rather small. Inner tepals are truncate and taller than outer ones. Underground the bulb produce dozens of bulblets that are borne on short stalks.

Hello Ori,
A beautiful flowering head shown in excellent detail. Reminds me somewhat of the seed head of a leek. Nice vertical composition.
