[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
After a long period of not being able to get out for health reasons I have at long last got behind the lens.

At long last a sign that the local population of Peacocks is reappearing after the hard winter a few years ago, when they where very abundant and a very damp start to this year.

This one was feeding on a buddleia bush specially planted in my garden for the butterflies to feed on.

This butterfly is common in Britain and Ireland except in the N. Visits garden flowers. Adult flies July-September and again in spring after hibernation. Under-wings are smoky-brown but the maroon upper-wings have bold eye markings. Caterpillars feed on common nettle. Wingspan 60mm
