[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi lads,

A strange couple: the blue "bridegroom" is the Two-leaf skill (Scilla bifolia), while the red "bride" is the Scarlet elf cup (Sarcoscypha austriaca (Beck ex Sacc.) Boud.) - both species are very common in springtime in my home country, Hungary.

This was the last mycological shot I made in my home country so far, but tomorrow I fly for a short holiday, so I hope to return to Ireland with lots of new pics.

Photo: macro lens, manual exposure mode. PP: moderate cropping, selective sharpening after re-sizing to the TN standard.

I'm taking a short break now, but quite soon I'll be here again. See you then!

What a neat shot of these two completely different organisms composed in the same frame. The focus is pin sharp displaying exceptional detail and your exposure is perfect. Rich vibrant colors yet natural in appearance. Awesome image!!

When I first looked at this picture I was amazed by that blue flower species that only occurs in spring.....and after I look to the date the picture was taken I understand why.....Nice colorful image with amazing clarity and excellent details. The red/orange color of the Scarlet elf cup looks superb.
