Black-Shouldered Kite
 |

[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is my first Bird of prey picture here in TN.
I have captured this picture of 'Black-Shouldered Kite' (Elanus caeruleus) at Rondebult Bird Sanctuary. This bird was sitting on top of a big tree and I had to capture it from far. Point of view isn't such great due to its position but I have done my best cropping it bit tightly to give it at least decent composition.
The Black-Shouldered Kite, a common bird of prey in South Africa, is a small, grey and white raptor with black shoulder.
* Upperparts - Bluish grey with black wing
* Underparts - White
* Range length - 35 to 38cm
* Range wingspan - 80 to 95cm
* Eyes - Dark red |
