Hello friends, from my winter 2012 archives,
soon it will be 5 years ago I took this photo !

The American Red Squirrel in-flight, from a dead tree
(outside left of the photo) to a bird/squirrel feeder
(outside right of the photo), he is doing a great,
high and long jump.

1/1000s f/11.0 ISO1000 25mm (35mm eq:37mm).

« Wide distribution and diurnal habits means this active
little squirrel is very frequently seen by humans. Its loud,
rolling "Tcher-r-r" and scolding chatter are familiar sounds
in the northern forests. The American red squirrel packs
a lot of 'attitude' into its small frame...»

Merci.

Asbed

Hello Asbed,
Nice inflight shot of this little red rocket. I have seen many red squirrels in my life which seem to always be going full speed. Not sure how you managed to capture this one in the air, but I commend you for it.
Ron

Hello Asbed,
Another beautiful jump and another time well captured in its natural habitat. Good sharpness and details too.
Thanks for sharing,
Sri

Bonjour Asbed,

Les arbres cadrent bien l'écureuil. Tu as bien capturé le vol ou le saut de l'écureuil roux. La qualité d ela lumière embellit les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Pierre

Ciao Asbed, great timing for a fantastic inflight capture, wonderful colors, fine details and splendid sharpness, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hi Asbed,
Good photo, but I feel the others from the series more powerful composition- and technical-wise as the squirrel was much bigger in the frame and the busy background was less in focus (DoF is too much, therefore the background's too sharp and grabs the viewer's attention from the squirrel).
Kind regards from Ireland, László

Another excellent capture of a creature - this time a mammal, not a bird - in flight. Given the squirrel's size and likely distance from you, and very nice effort.
