[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hello friands, the best step I made in my photographic life
is that 10 years ago on April 4, 2007 I signed up for the
TrekNature forum, it is because here in TN that I learned
wildlife photography by viewing the photographs of excellent
photographers and wanting to be good as others, you,
in 10 years in TN I learned a lot and I became the
wildlife photographer that I am now.

This photo is from my archive, taken on the last day
of autumn 2008 as there were 10 snow buntings in-flight
I had told myself I would make my picture of my 10th birthday
in TrekNature, today it is also my anniversary birthday.

Photo taken with my small compact camera of that time.
1/640s f/4.5 ISO100 32mm (35mm eq:180mm).
The time I took the photo 2008:12:20 15:44:57

« Appropriately named, the Snow Bunting is a bird
of the high Arctic and snowy winter fields. Even on
a warm day, the mostly white plumage of a bunting
flock evokes the image of a snowstorm. »

Hello Asbed,
The number 10 seems to be your lucky number today, thank you for your continued participation here on TN. You have come a long way in the past ten years, this is evident in your awesome inflight shots.
I like your ten Snow Buntings, a bird I hope to encounter someday. I may have to go up into Canada to find some since their sightings are rare here in Ohio. TFS.

Landmark achievement to complete 10 years on TN, Asbed. Congratulations!
Interesting in-flight image of 10 Buntings from your archives.
You are indeed a master of birds-in-flight imagery on TN.
Keep it coming!

Bonjour Asbed,

L'étendue de la région donne d ela profondeur à la composition. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails des oiseaux en vol. La lumière de la fin de l'après-midi rehausse les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Hello Asbed,
Congratulation for your 10 years here in TN. You have been showing us beautiful species from your country and hope you'll continue it. I like your idea to post 10 flying birds to celebrate the day.

Now about your picture:-
Perfect clean BG for flying bird photography. But not a single bird is clearly visible. Details are not good too. In flying bird picture, eye does play a big role in picture, but here I can't see it clearly. Too small bird in the frame. To me it's not a good flying bird post from you. Yes, I'm saying because personally I also take flying bird picture. But respect your work because a photographer should give priority to his own thinking first. But let me express my own view too :-)
Thanks for sharing,
Regards and have a nice WE,

Hi Asbed,
Although with a little delay, but I'd like to congratulate for your 10 years here and would thank for your contribution on the site. I hope we'll see you soon here again! About the photo: I don't fully agree with Srikumar. It's true the birds are small in the frame, but as an entire composition this works for me, due to their position / dispersion, and the smooth background. This is a good minimalistic photo IMHO, besides the above also because the birds are sharp, shutter speed was well chosen, such as the rather wide aperture. So, I myself like it. ☺
Kind regards from Ireland, László
