|This picture of the Drang Drung Glacier was shot from top of Penzi-La, a high altitude mountain Pass on the way to Padum village in Zanskar region. The Drang Drung Glacier is one of the largest Glaciers in the Ladakh Region other than the Siachen Glacier in the Karakoram Range. |
This is the only glacier which can be seen in the form of letter 'S' and is the source of Stod river in the Zanskar region. The peak visible on the left side of the glacier is known as 'Doda' peak with an elevation of 6550 mts.
