Lesser Grass Blue
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|I shot this very small Blue butterfly on my school campus today morning.|
Zizina otis, the lesser grass blue, is a species of blue (Lycaenidae) butterfly found in south Asia. The lesser grass blue is often misidentified as Zizina labradus, the common grass blue.

Great capture of this pretty little blue. Wonderful exposure even in what appears to be some challenging overhead lighting. Colors are nicely saturated and natural looking and the composition is quite eye catching.
I don't see a lot of blues or coppers around the house, although when I do it seems I always have the wrong lens on. They normally land very close to the ground on white clover blossoms, therefore I can't obtain a nice blurred BG like yours.
Ciao Ram, great macro of lovely tiny butterfly, wonderful natural colors, splendid sharpness and fine details, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio
