Macro shot in bright sunlight and shadow this Parnara naso naso. Probably female with such distinct spots. The subspecies P. naso naso is endemic to Mauritius (Williams Butterflies of Mauritius revised by Griffiths and Weaver).

Nice shot of this pretty little skipper butterfly which blends in nicely with its surroundings. Very sharp focus and good job on exposure, especially considering the uneven lighting you had to deal with.
