While viewing Rams beautiful Kingfisher photo this morning while at work, I remembered I saw a similar looking species in Tanzania. When I got home I checked out my photos and found this Grey-headed Kingfisher.

While on our one day safari ride my wife hollered for the driver to stop, She thought we had just passed a colorful bird. We backed up and this lovely kingfisher was sitting in a bush all by itself. I was able to get one quick photo before it took off.

Hello Ron,
Quite well captured this Grey-headed Kingfisher. I have also captured an adult but frontal view and another juveniles. I haven't posted yet.
Nice colour and natural ambience.
Thanks for showing,

Hi Ron,
Nice shot, the colorful bird stands out well against the green background. Good sharpness on the kingfisher, and I especially like the DoF, the mish-mashed greenery doesn't look busy, even a little stronger noise reduction should have been applied, too. But the composition's second to none, very pleasant to the viewer. Congratulations for the lovely shot.
Kind regards from Ireland, László

Hello Ron,
I have some login problems with TN.....I do not know if other members have the same problems for more than a week.....
Excellent image with nice colors and good focus. a lovely colorful bird.

Hi Ron,

The branches are framing well the bird. The point of view is showing the details of the Grey-headed Kingfisher. It is clear and precise. The light is giving good colors rendering. Have a nice day.
