Flying over autumn leaves
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Hello friends, a new photo of the Ring-billed Gull flying|
over autumn leaves, photo taken on October 28, 2017.
1/4000s f/5.6 ISO1600 85mm (35mm eq:127mm).
« Migrating Ring-billed Gulls apparently use a built-in compass
to navigate. When tested at only two days of age, chicks showed
a preference for magnetic bearings that would take them in the
appropriate direction for their fall migration. The gulls also rely
on landmarks and high-altitude winds to provide directional cues. »

I'm so happy to get the honour to write the first comment to this fantastic photo. Perfect shutter speed (as expected from an experienced bird photographer like you) to freeze the flight, excellent sharpness, and the compo's second to none with the bright yellow leafs in the background. Absolutely stunning image, hats off for you!
Kind regards from Ireland, László

Beautiful photo of this gull in flight. Excellent exposure and white balance. Attractive composition. Perfect timing.
Nice capture with such excellent clarity and very good focus.
Ciao Asbed, great capture of fantastic inflight gull, lovely composition with fascinating autumnal colors, fine details, splendid light and excellent sharpness, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio
L'oiseau est bien placé dans le cadrage. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails du Goéland à bec cerclé en vol. La bonne luminosité rehausse la beauté des couleurs. Bonne journée.
