|The eastern yellow wagtail (Motacilla tschutschensis) is a small passerine in the wagtail family Motacillidae, which also includes the pipits and long claws. It was often classified as a subspecies of the Western yellow wagtail. This species breeds in temperate Asia and has a foothold in North America in Alaska. Vagrant individuals occur around the winter quarters at migration time. For example, on Palau in Micronesia migrant flocks of this species – apparently of the Bering Sea yellow wagtail, and including many adult males – are regularly seen, while further north on the Marianas, only the occasional stray individual – usually females or immature as it seems – is encountered.|
It is a slender 15–16 cm long bird, with the characteristic long, constantly wagging tail of its genus. The breeding adult male is basically olive above and yellow below. In other plumage, the yellow may be diluted by white. The heads of breeding males come in a variety of colors and patterns depending on subspecies.

Such a variety of Wagtails, Satirtha! I shot one in Pahalgam in 2013 which was different.
Wonderful frontal exposure with razor sharp focus on the eye.
My Citrine Wagtail from Kashmir can be seen here:
Hello 👋 Satirtha,
Beautiful coloured Wagtail 😲. Quite well captured if talk on its background as well as on its framing. But due to harsh ☀ Sunlight chest features looks OVEREXPOSED. Another thing - just in front of its beak, there is a WHITE SPOT which to me bit disturbing. Digital noise (although not much) in the background.....😔
Thanks for sharing your work with us 😊
Regards and have a nice week 😊

Hi Satirtha,in effect the quality of pic isn't the best, the background is noised but this fact happens more times in my pics too and i think that isn't a big problem. Just the yellow is a bit overexposed so you lost the plumage details in this zone. But the bird is beautiful and the post is very interesting. Have a nice week and thanks,Luciano
