[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
As I took a walk this morning in the neighborhood this hawk flew into the tree in front of me. I've tried to identify it - the closest I can come is that it is a juvenile Cooper's Hawk - about 12 inches in length I would estimate, and rather clearly not fully developed yet. The bright yellow eye is typical of that species.

Hello Alan,
Very beautiful photo of this hawk with an impressive pose. Good sharpness and fine natural colors. In my opinion you got right about the ID: a juvenile male Cooper's Hawk.

Hi Alan, lucky meeting with this young coopers hawk. A very nice opportunity that you caught in a great way despite the distance, the light and the difficult location too, great shot,no doubts! Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano
