|European Roller (Coracias garrulus)|
I had captured this picture of European Roller at Kruger National Park, South Africa. I go for such background while I face dull sky which is not attractive at all.
The European Roller is the only member of the roller family of birds to breed in Europe. Its overall range extends into the Middle East, Central Asia and Morocco.
The European roller is found in a wide variety of habitats, avoiding only treeless plains. It winters primarily in dry wooded savanna and bushy plains, where it typically nests in tree holes.

This wonderful bird breed also in Danube Delta and the southern regions of Romania. I have seen it, but from a very great distance....not a chance for a good shot....
Thanks for sharing this excellent quality photo.
Another excellent use of a white background to focus on the coloring of this beautiful bird. Excelent focus and sharpness of detail.
THe branch is helping to frame the bird. The point of view is showing the details of the European Roller. The light is enhancing the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.

Hi Srikumar, another top class pic in a difficult situation talking about the light, the sharpness and the colors are the top, lovely post dedicated to this colorful roller. Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano
The bird's beautiful, however, I find the plain white background even more surrealistic than simply filling the blank parts with a colour which doesn't have high contrast, for example grey or grey-ish green. Workshop is just a demonstration with different background colour. Anyway, the details on the plumage are fantastic, and I like everything on the image which is not white. ☺
Kind regards from Ireland, László
