Hello friends,
This weekend is expected to be very rainy in Ireland (due to storm Ciara), so it's better to remember the glorious sunny days than complaining how bad the weather is... Here's a pic from the land of eternal sunshine, Canary Islands.
I always feel myself in a special mode when I'm among plants - I simply feel their energy. Either in a forest or a park, even in a man-made oasis like Cactualdea Park in the semi-desert of Gran Canaria - I feel myself as a part of nature, participating in the energy circle. Real spiritual healing, I'd say.
The huge cactus on the photo is the Mexican Giant Cardón (Pachycereus pringlei (S. Watson) Britton & Rose), the tallest species of the Cactaceae family. This specimen just started to bloom. Also featuring on the image: full sunshine...
Photo was done in the biggest thematic stem succulent park of Europe (see link above), with ISO 80, f/8 and 1/400 sec. in manual exposure mode. PP: moderate cropping, level adjustment, re-sharpening after re-sizing.
Thanks for looking. |

Hi Laszlo,I had thought of a post dedicated to the energy obtained from the cultivation of certain plants, which however has the defect of deforesting land to leave room for cultivation as happens in Brazil. Instead, it is only the energy that plants transmit to you when you are in certain places, even not quite totally natural like this. Positive energy without a doubt. Nice post dedicated to this Mexican giant away to the Canary Islands, and don't complain about the rain, it hasn't rained for 2 months and the snow is only a memory of many years ago. Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano
Ciao Laszlo, great view of fantastic cactus, splendid light, excellent clarity and wonderful natural colors, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio
