[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It's that time of year at the moment and there is a really good supply of fungi in and around my area.

This is another of a Fly Agaric or (Amanita muscaria). Posionous to humans, but not to other wildlife, I managed to get one of a few that had not been eaten or nibbled at.

I have to admit to not using the tripod on this occasion, simply because I was out with a husband on a days hike and the big tripod does not work well with a non-photographer husband... I managed to get the whole of the fungi in foucs, though the BG is not as OOF as I would have like, I have decided against editting the image to acheive a better BG.

Picture - cropped, resized, USM'ed.

As you say Emma it is hard to find fresh untouched ones, this one looks clean and fresh amongst the leaf litter. TFS

Like the way you have caught the light good detail...
Well done...

I don't understand why there are so few comments, for I really like the picture, the difference in focus is very interesting, of one of my favourite mushrooms. Although poisonous, diabolically interesting and nice to look at.
Very good light and the shadow.
All the best
