Hi Stephen,

Excellent shot and well done on the details. Beautiful work.

Sorry to see you go, hope you will be back in the near future. Merry Christmas and happy new year.

Wow, Stephen,
your moon is beautiful. It looks, as if big waterdrops have been falling on sand with all the "spots" on it. Sharpness is so excellent.
Why do you make a break, what a pity.
Hope, you come back soon, thanks for all the marvelous shots, bye bye

Hello Stephen,

I am very impressed with this shot of the moon, and believe it to be the best one on TN that I have seen.

I will sit and study it for a long time, one day, when I need the diversion.

Great contribution to this site and my wish list.

Thank you so much.

I hope that you will return soon, you will be missed.

An awesome moon shot Stephen, just incredible.
Sorry to see you go, hope your back soon. Have a good Christmas and New Year.
All the best - Julia.

Focus and exposure are TOP GUN. Not much to say about composition except the frame looks very good.
What lens or scope did you use? Is f/8 the indicated exposure or is it the effective exposure? I know mirror lens and telescope indicated outdiamter as opening and neglect light lost due to center mirror.
Great picutre and TFS.

As for the picture, it's really great.

I confess I'm curious about the lens you used...

salut Stephen,
Félicitation pour cette Lune, belle définition et bonne exposition. Qu'as-tu utilisé comme optique? En tout cas le numérique à un sacré avantage sur l'argentique dans ce genre de prise de vue. Bravo!

Hi Stephen,
This is a great view of the moon.
The details are very good and the exposure spot on.
Excellent work.

I hope you don't take a long break.

I was just telling Greg (Red45) that I love shots of the moon. :) This is a great picture. Very sharp and very nice. Too bad you are leaving TN, but I understand where you're coming from. Well done & TFS!

I look forward to your return.

Amazing capture, I have often wondered how to shoot through a telescope. Perfect exposure, well seen.
