Diagnóstica Description: Amplitude eave: of 26 to 29 mm similar Sexes. Previous wing of color dark coffee with orange marks in the postbasal, subaverage and average area. Three white points in the postaverage area near subapice. Four white manchitas in the apex or subapex. Later wing of dark orange color with four ocelos of black color in the marginal area. A dark black line in the edge of the marginal area.
Habitat: Secondary, potreros edges of forest, forests, bordered ways of secondary forests.
Service life:
Eggs: of white color, solitary positions.
Larva in fifth stage: capsule of the head of black color. Black body with many short thorns of black color. Back with strips of yellow color. To the sides rows of white points bordered by color ring coffee.
Feeding: The adults visit the flowers of Malva.
Relations: Hospedera plant: Gnaphalium sp, Antennaria sp, Artemisa sp., Senecio sp. (Asteraceae)y Malva sp.(Malvaceae).
Distribution: Species: Of the South of Canada, North and Center America, Colombia, the Antilles, Hawaii Islands, You embarrass, Madeira and the Canary Islands, sometimes until Europe.

Hola Ricardo. No cabe la menor duda que en la composicion contrasta lo imaculado, natural y colorista de la mariposa con lo industrial del oxido del fondo. El efecto tiene fuerza.
You hubiera girado ligeramente la foto para dejar la mariposa recta y la prespectiva al centro.

Estupenda mariposa. Un fondo extraño, pero le queda muy bien. Los colores del conjunto son muy calidos. He hecho un workshop pero no estoy segura de haber mejorado nada tu bella composicion. Un saludo.
