[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The view near Zabriskie Point of the Badlands as they roll down towards Death Valley. Once the bottom of the ancient sea, these muds have been revealed and carved for millions of years. The Panamint Range is in the distance.

What a superb landscape David. You call this mud? I guess it was once. The colours and textures and patterns are all so interesting. Excellent sharpness too. Well seen and thank you for sharing.

Exposure, focus and DOF are excellent. But what I like is the light. The low sun coming from the left side of you image gives a beautiful texture in the FG mountains wich are the main element of your picture. It also gives a nice contrast helping to convey a 3-D feeling. Plus, they occupy the lower 2/3 of you image. The upper 1/3 is filled with distant mountains softened by the atmospheric haze. It gives a lot of perpective to you landscape and an excellent 3-D effect.
Excellent landscape composed with basic but effective composition rules. TFS.

Hi David,

Very nice shot ! The mountains in the back gives a very good depth to the picture. It fills the eyes. It seems like we are there.

Thanks for sharing
