Do you remember that I wrote a message to you about snow thickness in Turkey? Here in Ankara everywhere is white now and the air is -2c.You are always welcomed to Turkey for see different kinds of snow:)

Hi Gerhard,
I'm always astonished when people tell, they never seen snow in their life. You have to make this experience anytime, it's so wonderful when the sun is shining, the ice-cristals are glittering - marvelous.
But also a lot of work, today we need 2 hours for cleaning the street - 15 cm snow this night and it's so heavy! Than you wish to be at a warm place ;-)
Anyway I like winter - it would be unusual to have 30 degree and sun at Christmas.
Thank you for this wonderful flower, it's so fragile and I love the softness of the BG.
Have a pretty Christmas-time and may all your wishes come true in 2006 - perhaps also snow?!?

I hope you will see the white Christmas someday. I really can't imagine this time without show though I really don't like winter.
The photo is beautiful, has great colours and perfect framing.

Gerhard, I feel the same as you about snow and a white Christmas. I have seen snow, but not lived in it - I think it would be very hard for us Southern Hemisphere folk to live there.
Beautiful Watsonia, they are weeds on NZ now! But so beautiful and dekicate.

Good shot worthy of a book ilustration in fact better than most it is clear well coloured.TFS
I have met and taken people to see the sea who have never stood at the edge of such a body of water, I suspect it must be a simular feeling to missing snow, we very rarly get much snow though the forcaster say we might get a spot to night so might be able to share an image with you tomorrow?
