[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
I think I’ve said what I could on the species in itself, even if there remain much about it. This specimen is the same one as I posted yesterday, under a different angle (Just for Jaap ;-).

This picture is part of a series taken the same day, whereas the weather was very hot. I just discovered beside a place that I know very well a biotope very different from that which we can find in the area.
The weather was very hot, and the butterflies were very sharp.
After having run behind of tens of individuals who did not let me approach, I adopted a different tactic:
I sat down close to a solid mass of flowers and I waited.
And as often when one immobilizes oneself, one discovers a true miniature world, contents in 10 m²...

Sebastien
The two pictures make a very nice study. Have a look at Mogens' work, he puts them two or more in a frame. It does carriy more impact to see the 2 juxtaposed in 1 picture, rather than 2 days in a row. This does not mean that I do not like this, it is very beautiful

encore une superbe photo Sebastien.
un sacré piqué et une pdc impeccable.
je dois dire que tes cadres mettent superbement en valeur tes prises.
au plaisir

Yes Sebastien You are right it's family of the blue one. Yes I called that family the blue one because there are a few sort of them.
Yes I had to run also yesterday, for Horse flies. That are those sneaking insects who not warning at all, and before you know it you had a stitch. My weapon was a cap on my head and a long shirt.
About your photo, Yes this is a nice angle. I said it before you are a great student, you are learning very fast, this is a very good capture. Good colours and good dof. Very good note too. Well done

Excellent DOF and sharpness - I wish I can videotape all these European butterfly hunters going about taking their pictures :)

It looks so soft, wonderful colours, Sebastien

Beautiful capture of this little critter, it looks all velvety ;-) Great sharpness, colours and DOF. Nice oof background.

Excellent capture Sebastien. Beautiful colours and great composition as usual. If there should be a small critique it would be the burn of the flowers but it is a minor thing and just to have something to criticise ;-).
