I like these 'small' landscapes -- the world beneath our feet. I would like this particular image better if the orange mushroom cap (the center of interest) was not dead center in the composition, with almost exactly the same amount of space on either side, top or bottom. The rule of thirds is an excellent guidline when composing an image, whether in photography or painting -- if you divide your image area into three equal portions horizontally and vertically, the dividing lines should intersect in four places. Any of these spots is an ideal position for your main focal point, creating a more dynamic composition. I did a workshop to show you.
