Great shot! I love Bee Eaters, and this is a really excellent shot. Detail is good, and the colours are wonderful - and most importantly the eye is nice and crisp. Background is plain and uncluttered, if a little grey. Very little I can meaningfully criticize here - the only thing I'd like is a larger image so I can admire it in all its glory! Excellent capture :-D

I like it Mike and I dare a WS because I would like to take similar picture one day. Meanwhile I make WS for to put in memory what is a good shot. Thanks.

Beautiful bird in a perfect pose. The morning light gives this photo a warm atmosphere. wery good shot, Mike.

Great shot Mike.
Very good composition , colours and details.
Maybe just a little darker BG.
Great work

Mike, Beautiful shot of this bird. You took it at 1000 mm tele! I like the composition and colours of your shot. The grey background with the also light greens, orange and blue of the bird harmonize very well.
Greetings, Jan

Great shot perfect detail.
Well done

Nice posture, was that bird alive ?

WOW! This is perfect Mike. Sharp detail and you got him from very far... 500mm X2.

Those colours set off nicely against the BG. Masterpiece!

Nice capture Mike.(With that black band around his head he looks like his beak has been strapped on).

Mike, what a good shot. The beautiful bird's colourings tone in with the branches and background so well. It is an excellent capture. Janice

Como tus anteriores entregas, la foto se destaca por su agudeza y claridad, además de un excelente POV y colorido.
El cuadro es un tanto pequeño, teniendo en cuenta el tamaño del original de tu cámara y el tele utilizado.

As your previous posts, the photo stands out by its sharpness and clarity, in addition to an excellent colorful and POV.
The picture is somewhat small, considering the size of original of your camera and tele used.

Beautiful picture.
Tell me, is it an easy lens to travel with? I am currently considering this lens or the 400 f/4 IS DO. I'm a little bit afraid of the size and weight of the 500 f/4.

great! details and sharpness are great.

This has the feel of the classic hand-drawn pictures of birds before color photography was available - could easily be an Audobon sketch, for example (wrong continent, of course).

Great shot. I like the pose of the bird's head, and the background colours made a perfect combination with the bee eater and the tree leaves.

Excellent composition, good background (bokeh, the 500 lens is very good with it). Lighting is perfect with the glow in the eye.

Everything's really quite perfect :) - colours, image sharpness/quality, composition... You've managed to capture the delicate nature of the creature. Truly beautiful!

Another stunning shot! The bird and the plant on which it is perching are both so delicate, and the colors are very subtle. I have really enjoyed your pictures. Looking forward to more in the future.

Lovely contrast between bird and BG Mike. Colours are great, composition is stunning. You have everything right here. Beautifully done. The light may have been right but you were the one knew how to use it :)

Very elegant shot of this bee eater with very nice composition and lighting. Well done Mike. :)

Very elegant composition with deliciously subtle colors. A delightful piece of art. Congratulations! Peter
