Nobody gets fed-up with looking at good photo's and this looks particularly good the detail especially of the slime over the cap is well captured. Well done and TFS yours Robert
PS how do you get your 717 to stop exposure compensating in manual mode?

Hi Felipe,
First, congrats on the 200th. You choosed well the post, for I think you are the best mushrooms photographer to active participate on TN.
I'll go with your identification, amid the fact that there are two or three very similar in colours and shape Cortinarius species, some of them couldn't be told apart without specific chemical reagent identification.
I met last autumn a specie looking similar with this but couldn't 100% identifu it too.

Master picture for special occasion! This one looks almost like painting [brown BG] combined with ultraclear and ultradetailed photography - main subject. It doesn't looks tasty, but for sure looks very nice and interesting. Violet colours on its lower part are alien ;-) Great 200th post my friend!

I am never bored with your fungi shots, they are always so beautiful .
This one is no exception, the textuure of this one is very pleasing and the exposure of the cap is jsut stunning.

Your fungi shots inspire me to try and do better with my own. They've also inspired me to notice these wonderfully interesting "guys" in nature that I had in the past ignored. I never realized how beautiful they can be. I love the glossy look on the top and the purple color, excellent work as usual!
