[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
There is really no magic to it if one knows where to stand and when to stand there. For a brief few minutes in the winter morning the rainbow is visible from one spot in the valley. This is Upper Yosemite Falls; the show piece of Yosemite Valley. There has been no enhancement of the colors.
..............................................................................................................

This Upper Falls is 1430 feet (435 meters) tall; which is comparable to the Sears Tower in Chicago.

.............................................................................................................

Yosemite National Park embraces a spectacular tract of mountain-and-valley scenery in the Sierra Nevada, which was set aside as a national park in 1890. The park harbors a grand collection of waterfalls, meadows, and forests that include groves of giant sequoias, the world's largest living things.

Highlights of the park include Yosemite Valley, and its high cliffs and waterfalls; Wawona's history center and historic hotel; the Mariposa Grove, which contains hundreds of ancient giant sequoias; Glacier Point's (summer-fall) spectacular view of Yosemite Valley and the high country; Tuolumne Meadows (summer-fall), a large subalpine meadow surrounded by mountain peaks; and Hetch Hetchy, a reservoir in a valley considered a twin of Yosemite Valley

*Ninfa Urania*

Lovely Evelynn. You have captured the rainbow from the spary perfectly. Nice saturated colours. I like the textures and shapes as well. Good work. Thanks.

OOOps! Awesome!

You complain in my gallery, that you do not have much of a snow, but you have other beauties from the sleeve. You and the Nature have done a masterpiece of photography. And if last but not least, I am glad that you have used the allowed by TN Kbytes "to the brim" (203K).

Thank you for sharing with us!

Un colpo d'occhio favoloso! Semplice ma di sicuro effetto.
Continua così!

A view from the other side! Nice to see it.
The rainbow and waterfall combination is one of my personal favorites. Your note is good here too.

Hi Evelynn! What a great picture! Excelent capture! The waterfall is beautiful, and the rainbow adds a lot! I´ve been two times in the Yosemite Ntl Park and I loved that nature! I can´t wait for another chance to see that beauty! TFS!
Regards,
Zeca

Wonderful!!
To take a good picture you have to be in the right place at the right time...
and here it seems you where in the exact plece at the exact time!!!
I'll have to visit Yosemite as soon as possible!

It is only my opinion, but maybe I'd change slightly the composition and put the waterfall in the right part of the scene...
Thanks!!
Enrico.

Lucky for you to know the secret!
Great job and amazing colors!
Congratulations!

Wow, is the first reaction after seeing it. Very well stunning capture of rainbow with the waterfall at Yosemite. The width is phenomenal & heavenly in the falling water, which has almost turned into mist. TFS.
