[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Many species of insects depend on Milkweed. Monarch Butterflies, Milkweed Bugs, and Milkweed Leaf Beetles eat milkweed, and some could not survive without it.

Common Milkweed grows up to two meters. It has large, broad leaves, usually four to ten inches long. They sometimes have red veins. The plant is found in fields, gardens, and along roads.
Common Milkweed flowers are pinkish-purple clusters which often droop.
Fruits are green pods which turn brown before bursting open to let out fluffy seeds.

Hallo Sky,

It should be 'relative' of the seed that you criticized in TL...
Very good macro, with excellent clearness and colors. Congratulations.

I never know that milkweeds have "flying" seeds. I've seen several milkweed species, all in full bloom, never whed the seeds ripe.

Regards, Petru

Hi Sky!
Excellent post.POV,framing and composition are
perfect.Thanks for sharing.

simple and pretty! I planted milk weed seeds on th eside of my house to try to attract monarchs, but the weeds never grew. So few butterflies left in California, crop poisons kills them.
