I must say you take a seemingly dreay subject and breath a life into it most others fail to see. Each of these i have looked at in your portfolio breath life, and express vast wonders hidden normally from our view. Thank you for opening our eyes to them....james

Hi Felipe and Cristina - I saw the title and knew it had to be a mushroom. And reading, "Taste and odor often pungent, unpleasant" is good to know, therefore I won't try to eat it, especially if its pores are red! Your notes are always very interesting, thank you.
Very good photo of the 2 large and one tiny mushrooms Felipe, you make them alwats look so well and inviting. It is well composed and looks so real.
Well shown, TFS

As somebody said before, the art of photographing mushrooms has little or no more secrets to you.
B. erythropus is indeed edible and very tasty, as many boletes are. I eat this species from some time now and it's quite easy to recognize it. One clue to tell it appart from some harmfull boletes is ... the taste.
The poisonous boletes (and that's worldwide) are only slight and mild poisonous in fact, and all of them have a bitter, unpleasant taste. I "check" them sometimes by tasting a very small portion (then spit it out) and I didn't have any problems yet whatsoever.
B. erythropus has a sweet, B. edulis -like aroma. And can be used in kitchen for many tasdy dishes. :-)

Nice fungi Felipe. I like composition, sharpness and colors. I´m feeling the atmosphere of wet forest. The species grows in my country too and it has two optimum of occurence - first in young spruce forests and second in old beech forests in cover of Deschampsia flexuosa. We can find this fungi under oaks and another trees also, but no so frequently.

I'm afraid I don't like the frame in this one Felipe.
I still think your the best fungi shooter on this site, I wish I could be half as good. Well done friend.

Mais uma vez, excelente nitidez.
Além disso, bela composição, ângulo e saturação.
