[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the first anglerfish I found by myself. Just sitting there as waiting to be photograped.
The the false bait can be seen I you look closely.

These preditors normaly are very hard to find cause they blend so well with the surroundings. This anglefish seems to have forgotten to stay close to whitish background though :-)
The angle is there to lure some small fish or shrimp into sudden death. The fish opens its mouth so quickly, that the prey is sucked into the mouth.

Hi Patrick,
What a bizarre looking creature. Very good shot, excellent detail and exposure. I had to look at this for a while to realise which bit was which :)
