Icicles forming from a roof, captured in side lighting from the low winter sun…

This phenomenon occurs when temperatures are freezing but close to 0C, as warmth from inside the roof makes the snow melt. When the water drips from the roof and hits the colder air outside, it will form this frozen shapes hanging from the edge…

Hello Pablo, very nice shot of the icicles, lvoely details and a good composition. Very nice.

Hi Pablo,
I was waiting for a new photo from you. This one is great, The color reflection and the low light gives this photo an amazing touch. I ecpecially like the tight crop and the dark blue edges on the icicles.
Thanks,
Niek

Hi Pablo,
Nice image, I liek the composition with the slight tilt and the plain white frame is perfect for this shot.

Hat off, my friend! This photo is closer to the art than the picture. Clever mixture of cold tones with a tad of warm colours. Texture of the ice also help to direct this pic towards paintings.

Regards, Petru

Hi Pablo, nice composition with good colour and clarity. TFS.
Dean.

Hi Pablo,
Great shot of this huge icicles.
Sometimes we see them also in Holland but not as big as this ones.
Here you shows us very colourful icicles, beautifully composed and exposed with the right lightfall.
Well done Pablo.
Regards,Ruud

Great colors and nice DOF ...

Hi Pablo,
Nice capture of these icicles having sharp details and nice colours. The POV and the notes are very appropriate for this composition.I would like to see the bottom ends of these icicles but maybe you didn't have the right conditions for it or you just wanted to capture them the way you did.
Thank you for sharing.

We are forgetting these water formatins with the comming of spring. But in the heath of the summer we will dream of them, maybe...
The pfoto is also an abstract composition of light and colors.
Anton

Cool macro job of the icicles. I like the reflection of the sun in them as well

Very nice ice :-)
I like it.
However, not like some other critiquers here, I do not like the framing at all. There is not enough seperation of the whites of the pic and the frame on the right side.
2:) for the pic without the frame.

BdM

PS
Think the frame issue that I mentioned is partly due to a bad monitor adjustment. It looks better on a different monitor.

Great image, Pablo, it makes me feel all cool inside, LOL! Wonderful lighting and POV.

Hi Pablo,
another graphical presentation of the shot. The running spears of the icicles make it so strikingly graphic.
This shot tells a story with the inclusion of a blurred tree.
The shining reflection liven the shot very much.

Foozi
