He is a large spider, length 25-35 mm, richly covered with hair. Colouring not constant, from brown up to almost black, sometimes reddish, a bottom more light. The spider lives in the deep vertical mink covered by a web, preferring the humidified ground with high standing subsoil waters. At night the spider leaves a mink on hunting behind insects, watches for them in a mink in the afternoon. Pairing occurs in August. For the winter the spider deepens a mink and hammers in an inpu the ground. In June the female spinder in a mink postpones eggs. The white obverse cocoon as a round small pillow is attached to web warts, a female spinder, moving, supports his hinder legs. The given birth spiders keep on a female spinder who is sent on searches of water. Having given to drink young spiders, the female spinder wanders in the open humidified places and dumps their back legs. The young spiders settled thus are hidden all over again in natural shelter, and further dig minks, gradually deepening and improving them.
I showed this photo to many experts is one of the biggest tarantulas whom they saw. Length together with paws of 12-13 centimeters. Length of a body of 5 centimeters.

Excellent photo of this spider with its gorilla-face. And you managed this close-up with a 60mm macro lens - congratulations for your courage. Excellent sharpness and details. Like most people I also got perplexed by these red "teeth", it is so bizarre, so much like a vampire :-)
Thanks for showing, Patrick

Amazing macro. The details are so clear. Very well done.

So scary.
Nice macro shot Victor.

Focus and details are amazing. Spiders are such fascinating creatures, don't you agree?

My one problem is that you cave cropped out the bottom of its fangs, so the whole spider's face is not complete.

Still, well done! Thanks for sharing.

Hi Victor,
Excellent extreme closeup of this spiders face. Fantastic detail and DOF. I luv those red fangs, very cool lookin'
The portrait is well composed as well..
Very well done!
