Iris haynei is a big (about 15 c"m) and beautiful flower in Israel. It can be found only in the East Mountains of North Israel.
Flowering time: March.
The plant's Latin name was called on the name of Hayne who was Tristram best friend and partner (Tristram was an English priest that was one of the first zoologists of the Middle East).
