Are those little specks people on that glacier?? It's really hard to grasp the scale on this image. It's a great photograph. Thanks for sharing it with us.

A frozen waterfall - great blue and gray tones. I had no idea about the scale until reading Evelynn's note. Excellent composition, but I would wish for a panorama to see the entire front face. The sky is overexposed, you might consider bracketing the exposure and compositing the shot.

Very pleasant image of the glacier!
Dynamic X-type composition, fine colours and good details...
The inclusion of people really gives an impression of the scale of this phenomenon!

I love pictures of glaciers and this one is no exception. As greghume states, a panaramic involving all of the front face would have been nice, but difficult to get teh exposure correct across the 2 shots to get everyhting exposed correct and without the join being visible.
I have to say that the picture is not as blue as I remeber them being, but maybe it is my memory that has faded, it was 15-20years ago that I was last there (as a child)...

A perfect shot that is well composed. Excellent POV looking up the glacier. My husband and I did a Helihike on the Franz Josef Glacier here in New Zealand last year. What an amazing experience.

Very nice composition and amazing colours of the ice. It could be even more interesting if the sky was cropped out.

At first I have to say that this is note easy to choose 1 picture from your gallery to comment it. So I decided to do it one by one ;)
This time a very beauty photo presenting the "ice river". This picture remembers me visit on Spitsbergen where such beautiful pictures could be observed almost everywhere.
Your phot is really great: good details, nice light, interesting (documentary) POV.
TFS and best greetings,

Excellent capture of this glacier tongue, probably facing North as I see Brisdal in the Google Earth. The clarity, sharpness without distortion is superb. The size of glacier is mammoth with appealing icy blue color. What is the average moving rate of this glacier? Cheers for wonderful coverage of this part of mother earth. :)
