Monkeys in India, are often thieves who steal from the unwary. They enter dwellings, hang around pilgrimage sites, anywhere they can, raising havoc, and pillaging. They are generally nuisances. This is a rhesus monkey in Mysore, he lives on Chandi Hill, site of holy temples. Part of the joy of life seems to be snatching articles from the hands of people walking by.

Nice shot. Sorry I am running behind a bit, after the weekend away. Will try to write a proper critique later.

Most of all I like its expression.

Sometimes pesky critters, eh? I like your filling of the frame here. I do wish it were in sharper focus, though.

Is it Your lens in her hands? ;)
I saw those monkeys especially like chips in colourfull bags.

Hi Gloria
Good to see you back her. I have been busy too, so missed a lot from many peple as well. I do NOT like primates, matbe too close for comfort as cousinns once removed?
He has a very captivating look in his eyes, it fills the frame nicely but it is really a bit soft.

Hi Gloria,

Another monkey from Karnataka! Why? The post is good. But, you are making my state into a lnd of monkeys. :-)

Well, ...I invite you to come down to Bangalore again. We will take you to a lot of places where you will find REALLY interesting subjects. Now, along with filling up trekN with my posts, I would like to see your album filling with a lot of good posts from Karnataka.

Keep going, good luck, TFS, Kiran.
