Size: up to 6 cm.
An unusual scallop embedded in brain corals. Mantle margins blue with rows of red eyes. Hole in coral held open chemically. Plankt feeder.

This photo was taken at the depth of approximately 10 m.

It's nice to see that the 5D is performing well underwater. Great colours and the shaprness and details is excellent.

Amazing to see the rows of red eyes giving a totally different impression on the livelyness of this kind of animal. The iridescent colours are phantastic.

This is amazing, the subject as much as the detail in the shot. It's a lovely shot, detail and colours are excellent, a superb abd unusual macro. It's a very interesting subject, I think this is a wonderful world we live in!

I don't know much about these things under water. All I can say is that this image attracted me for its colourful composition.

fantastic colours and detail, it is absolutley amazing. the colours and the like a stunning and the composition is excellent topped and tailed by the white 'fringe'.
