Hi Mike
Totally WOW! What a POV, giving new meaning to the expression of a 'birds eye view'.
This was extremely well done, especially considering the fact that you took it while holding the 20D in one hand. It is not exactly a point and shoot sized body.
I am rather baffled in trying to figure out what I see in the reflections in the eye. Did you go outside of the shop to take this? Is that the sun's reflection? Is that a tree with pink blossoms I see in the BG? How come I don't seem to see you in the reflection?
The focus is brilliantly sharp with oodles of details and the contrasts (exposure) are great.
Great stuff and TFS.
Regards
Loot

Hi Mike!
Excellent idea! I've never seen bird's eye from so close distance. Arty presentation, composition is very good. It looks surprisingly well - all these feathers around and glass surface of dark eye. Something new.

Hi Mike,
I've always liked your artistic approach and this is a great example of it. It's almost surreal, such depths within that eye and is that a sun I see within that dark universe? The feathers are so pin sharp they look like cactus spines. Great technical execution and impeccable artists eye. Excellent stuff :)

Hello Mike,
You, no doubt, seized the opportunity well. Great idea and quite striking or even a bit scary results. I like the catchlight in the eye. It's quite interesting to see the feathers from so close.
Great shot!

That, my friend, is the look of utter terror. Poor bird, it must have shat itself when you grabbed it and pointed that big lens right at it. Wonderful capture, amazing POV.
