[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
According to what people here taught me, the flower is called Lantana (Does it have the same name in English?). The butterfly uses its tongue to collect the nectar, since the flower structure is suitable to this.

P.S.: thanks to Carmem Busko (www.treknature.com/members/carmem_busko/), who gave me some tips about the subject above.

Impresive macro Livio.
Great sharpness, beautiful colours and the DOF is very nice.
I like the eye, very big and clear.
Lovely green shot. well done!

I am actually more interested and impressed with the Skipper than the flower. I am not sure which Skipper this is as they are most difficult to ID unless you have a good shot of both dorsal and underwing . Anyway...this is a wonderful capture of this Skipper and the Lantana makes a terrific foil for it's drab coloring. Nicely done!

Yes Livio, it is lantana or bramble bush here in South Africa. Your macro is excellent. Good job

I can see that you are really improving your skills Livio. This is a great capture with very good colours and dof. The composition looks very good too - may be if you cropped out half of the free space in the top or half of the bottom to out centre the skipper.

Otra gran imagen Livio... comparto las apreciaciones anteriores.
Personalmente creo que el Unsharp es levemente excesivo.

Very nice macro, Livio! I like the vertical position of the moth relative to the frame. Wonderful depth of field, too.

This is another very good macro of yours, Livio. Details are present up to the finest ones, like the pollen visible on the tongue and antennae tops. DOF on the subject is perfect, and, although I'm not fan of flash use, the light is displayed evenly without bright patches.

Livio, Great colors, DOF, sharpness, comp., & details. And it's doing something of course! Well done!!
