[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In the "reserva Nacional Lomas de Lachay" (Lomas de Lachay National Park) plants abound from May to October due to the foggy weather; in the rest of the year the seeds are waiting for the water to start growing because no rain falls. Here is a typical scene of the place: dense fog with very few trees and much small plants that grow close the ground. This type of vegetation is named "Lomas", because it grows in the low hills (low hills = 'lomas' in Spanish) of the desert near the coast, specially in the central coast of Peru.
What seems to be a road is indeed a road. People are advised not to leave it because too many feet on the soil compresses and hardens it, not letting the small plants to grow on too hard soil.
No PP here, just USM (10/50/0). Blue cast is due to the film.

A nice shot.
Good composition with the rock and the small tree in the foreground and with the track disappearing into the fog.
Very nice tones and a great note too.

Absolument magnifique. J'adore ces moments assez mysterieux avec une bonne couche de brume, ce sont des moments propices de jolies photo.
Bravo Jurgen.

Grand landscape shot, Jurgen. The dense fog renders a very good atmosphere, and the composition is nice with the leaning tree and the rock in the foreground, and the path leading into the misty area. Good tonal range of colors, well done.

This is nice, the mist and the green creates a mystical mood. I like the adosphere you caught here.

Hola Jurgen,

Me gusta tu composicion, sobre todo el contraste de los azules y verdes, asi como utilizaste el primer plano con la roca, la vegetacion y el arbolito, realzando asi tu imagen.

Great mystical fog !!!!! What wizards and shamans are on this road, to where????

Beautiful. Great atmosphere.

I have to disagree. I find this image to have, flat, ugly lighting with little contrast and greyish, unsaturated colors. The sky is very noisy and there is a noticible noise problem throughout the picture as a whole. Perhaps this is what you were aiming for when you snapped the shutter. It is a good effort but for me (maybe it's just me) it is visually unpleasing. However, I am 100% sure that the original slide looked a lot better. Thanks for sharing.
