Ladybug on a flower. Taken while on vacation on the Oregon Coast. Hard to take macros like this with the correct plane of focus when you're on your haunches, the plant is swaying and there's a fairly brisk wind blowing! *8-) Cropped and 80% USM. And no color tweaking at all.
I was amused to note the Google advertisements on the left side of the page when viewing this photo. "How to kill ladybugs" etc! I certainly hope the ads don't spoil the ambience or bokeh of my photo for you. *8-) The adverts don't show up when you're logged into TN, fortunately. |

Despite discomfort and adverse wind, you have shot a great picture, Dean. The ladybug is delicately perched on the flower and the two of them are a complete and beautiful composition in themselves.
Excellent crystal clear macro with fine DOF and colours.

Hallo Dean, well managed with a clear focus on the main activist but also on parts of the nicely coloured plant. The background fits well. The beetle is a common one, but the overall composition makes up the charme of the picture.

Hi Dean,
This is a wonderful shot. Very clean and sharp bug. Perfect depth of field. The flowers are nice too and the yellow one add something more to this perfect picture.
Thanks for sharing,
Claude
