Who: A flock of dolphins swimming along with the catamaran
Where: Pacific Ocean near Isla de Todos Santos, Baja Norte province, Mexico
When: last weekend 12/19/2004 around 2 p.m.
Taken how: hanging over the nose of the catamaran boat (mission impossible, mission acomplished) praying I wont get saltwater on my lens and ruin it forever. A polarizer filter is imperiously necesary to eliminate all surface glare, a steady hold (elbow proped in stomach) and a fast speed 1/250 minimum and keep constant eye to have the perfect cadrage (yeah right ...).

Man Radu, this one kicks @ss! Love the action, and love dolphins in particular. Very nicely done!
I would add some space, say 1cm, above their noses for composition - just personnal taste.

Awesome action shot Radu. You done very well. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful and clear image, Radu. For sure these dolphins are a wonderful subject for a photographer. I like how they come parallel, differently curved with the head facing the same direction. A sober and elegant composition, and, as I read, quite a physical performance. Congratulations.

Well captured with the different curves of the dolphins. Interesting picture and good note.

This is beautiful and of something high on my wishlist. I like Philips WS as well. The composition is good as well.

Very well done and thanks for posting.

Wow - great photo. Thanks for the details on how you took it - this took guts to capture, and you did it. My first impression was that you were somehow flying above them, or underwater. Well done.

HI,
Thank's for risking your material, it's really a very good picture !!!
Should be cool to do catamaran with this kind of pilot around...
Thank's for this post.

Hi Radu,

Under these circumstances a perfectly shot. Natural colors. I'm so sorry to say this, but your photo don't lives. It didn't sparkle. Maybe it comes trough your polarizer filter. I like Philips WS as well. Anyway this took guts to capture, and you did it. Well done and thanks for sharing. Regards and TFS Bob

Thanks for having gotten into The Impossible. It was absolutely worth it! CarOze

Great shot! Its simple yet beautiful in compsoition. The rays of light passing through the blue water and falling on the dolphins create a captivating effect. Excellent catch.

Beautiful and clear image, Radu. For sure these dolphins are a wonderful subject for a photographer.
