The largest Gannet colony in North America on Bonaventure Island in the Guylf of the St.Lawrence. Fortunatly, the smell has not stuck to the photo!

What an incredible sight, Jean.
I cannot imagine seeing so many gannets all at once on one beach. This is something that few people have ever seen with their own eyes. Thanks for sharing this amazing scene with us. : )
Great shot, very well composed. : )

Hello Jean,
This is awesome, a totally amazing view!
It is also a well composed picture, with a strong diagonal and good balance...
Beautiful colours and good details and well done!

Great shot, there are so many birds ! Really amazing ! Composition and colors are truly wonderful, I love the deep blue color of the sea. Thanks for sharing this beautiful view with us.

HI Jean,

Thanks for keeping the aroma to yourself. I would imagine that it might also have been quite noisy. What an amazing sight. How is it that you happened to witness this? Your image looks well exposed and has good color. There is a touch of lens distortion on the horizon.

Thanks for sharing such an amazing sight.

Hi Jean
I've never seen so many birds in one spot. Interesting POV, TFS Janice

PS....nice camera :)

Hello Jean,
Wonderful to observe this huge Gannet colony. Well composed. TFS

Hi Jean,
I can imagine what the smell must have been. And what about the noise! This is a awesome sight with so many Gannets on such a small beach. Great colors and control on exposure.

Hello Jean,
fascinating to see the details after opening the full size image from a thumbnail that promises to show an empty beach of white sands. Brilliant colours, excellent composition.
With thanks, and best regards,
