What a lovely specimen of a rather small (2-3.5cm) Golden shower or Chuva-de-ouro - Oncidium cebolleta you have captured here. These epiphytes are indigenous to the South American tropics, normally growing at high altitudes (up to 1700m), and where it supposedly has a fairly common status. This is the most widespread of all Oncidium species. It is fairly easy to identify due to the unmistakable little wings it has on the side of the column, which is clearly visible in your photo.
Although the angle is slightly oblique one can see enough of the flower to appreciate its beauty. The colours are stunning and the details are marvellous, even showing the crystal like textures of the sepals & petals. The BG is perfect to enhance and compliment the flower while the exposure was perfectly managed utilising the fill-in flash extremely well to remove all harsh shades and ending up with a very soft overall lighting effect.
Very well done and TFS.
