Also known as shield bugs or stink bugs.
Most are plant feeders (a few are predators). Farming areas can yield good numbers in crops like cabbage, cotton, etc. or in nearby roadside vegetation. Many species come to lights at night. Adult stink bugs of various species are active from spring through late fall. |

What a wonderful picture you are offering us and so colorful! Even the bug is cute :-) We have some hemiptera like this one in Quebec but none with that kind of antennas! I also like very much the pinkish blurry bg which enhanced the flower and the insect! Very well done! I did a little workshop in order to improve a little bit the sharpness. Let me know if you like it!
