Hi Thodorius,
Very good shot of this impressive butterfly.
It looks a bit like the Argynnis paphia which I shot in France but is not the same. Have a look here.

I think it is the Cloddiana selene.

Hallo Thodoris,
a brilliant capture of

-- Argynnis adippe -- (clearly not paphia).

The species is similar to A. niobe, but shows marked androconial patches on the fore-wing cubital veins 1 and 2 (appearing like inflated veins).
Composition, light and sharpness are excellent.
