[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
:) I chose a category " RAIN FOREST ", because I shot this photo in the forest and it was raining:)) I am sure it is some kind of Fungi but what exactly - I don't know...

If someone knows what it is - please comment.
I've spenta couple of hours searching through Internet but could not find anything like these fungi.


Anyway not so many bright spots in Belarussian Fosrest this time of year. These orange fungi draw attention very well.

DOF could be better:) But I had no time to change it. Every time I squat - hundreds of mosquitoes started to bite my hands face and neck;)

yours is a good photo, I like it.
About ID: this is Leocarpus fragilis (Dickson 1785) Rostafinski 1874. It belongs to the Myxomycetes CLASS and for the modern systematic it isn't a fungus; it have to be inserted in the Protozoa KINGDOM instead of Fungi KINGDOM.
