Another one taken from the archives. This hoverfly was trying to bury itself in the flower, I think! Amazing the lengths they'll go to to get fed! Anyway. I have no idea of the species or gender, I'll bow to the expertise of the knowledgeable out there!

No cropping, just filled the frame with the subject. Added a bit of contrast and had to run it through NeatImage to get rid of the grain.
