I've no idea what this is but it is certainly an interesting shot! Very nice macro showing the "fur", the eye and the wingpattern very clearly.

I don't know the ID but I do know that I love this photo. Awesome in color and detail -- and that eye -- both of the photographer and of the bee! It opens a little mystery -- we know what the photographer sees of the bee, but what does the bee see of the photographer? How does the world look from the view of this little creature?
